About us
Jacksonville Housing and Credit Counseling Services, Incorporated is an agency committed to serving greater Jacksonville. There are no income guidelines therefore our services are available to anyone in need of housing counseling. JHACCS is led by Harold J. Riley, a retired combat disabled Navy veteran. Harold has over 19 years of experience in the areas of financial literacy, credit counseling, mortgage default counseling, foreclosure prevention, predatory lending, and mortgage financing. Harold maintains certifications as Credit Counselor, Comprehensive Housing Counselor, Licensed Florida Realtor, and Florida Notary Public. Harold has a BS Degree from Southern Illinois University and a MBA from the University of Phoenix. He maintains his certifications by attending various seminars, workshops, and completing continuous education requirements.
JHACCS is a nonprofit 501c3 agency and a member of the National Association of Housing Counselors and Agencies and the National Housing Resource Center. In a very short time, we have established partnerships and relationships with lending institutions and other non-profit organizations. Our intention is to not only provide our services, but to also be a hub of information for those in need.
JHACCS works hand in hand with Concorde Realty of NE Florida, its partner agency to assist home-buyers in determining affordability, style, and location. A home is one's most prized investment therefore clients must have accurate and up to date information available to make informed decisions. We remain available to our clients offering guidance and assistance well after closing if needed. Statistics show home-buyers that are educated and heavily involved in the buying process are less likely to face foreclosure.
Our Board of Directors consist of religious leaders, military veterans, mortgage professionals, and real estate experts. These members serve only as a commitment to Jacksonville and its citizens. Just as home-buyers need options in purchasing a home, they also need options in choosing a counseling agency that has their best interest.
